Happy New Year to all! 2007 is here! I am always excited about having a new clean slate to plan upon each year. . . guess that little insight shows my obsessive compulsive side, huh? LOL!
I agree with everyone else, I love our quarterly get-togethers! We've always said that we hope all can come, but when those who can't aren't able to, we understand and love 'em anyway! So, maybe the end of Feb. or first few weeks of March?
Blair, I'm going to have to cabbage-onto our camera from Mark. He uses it at work and so has it stashed in his work-stuff. Not that I'm saying that it is his fault or anything. . . BUT! He didn't remember to take it with us for Christmas SOOOOOO?
No, I'm starting a new year right? What's keeping me from getting my own camera...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Great, I've already got the first resolution down: BUY A CAMERA FOR ME! You all are going to be soooo sick of pictures from me, hahahah!
So here's the news for now:
Meredith and Michael are moved into their home in Azle and having all the fun of first-time homeowners! The boys worked on what we lovingly call, "The man-cave" (outside workshop) while Meredith and I worked on painting on the inside. They have this coming week to organize their home, just the way they want it before jumping into their relocated positions at Lockheed in Ft. Worth next Monday.
We traveled home yesterday and Devin had his girlfriend over last night for movies and to see the New Year in! She's very shy, but is a kick-A acoustic guitar player.
My boys are still sleeping, suprise? LOL! I don't begrudge them the time they can relax and sleep though. . . I've still got to get them some black-eyed peas going, and even though peas are a no-no for me right now, I don't think a teaspoon full will hurt? Anyway, I'm superstitious about that and would hate to have my weight-loss stop because I didn't have any luck in 2007, right??
Blair, I'm thrilled that you got the position at the City of Ft. Worth. It's really exciting when you've been rewarded for all the hard work, isn't it? I know there will be only good things ahead for you. Jay, congratulations on completing the HVAC studies! I know this will set you up for the promos you've been wanting and WILL GET! Keep up the good work!
Cameron and Dianne. . . I know you two are getting really excited about Baby Brock's arrival. Let me know the information on his ETA as I plan to be on sight for first kisses. Take great care of Dianne and sit on her feet if you have to! She's such a sweetheart, I don't want to see her lifting anything! Now is the time when you can be d'man! LOL!
Brandon and Will... Glad all things are going well for you and that you enjoy the get-togethers as much as I do! I'll give you a shout when I get over to Austin. I will get my plans together for the next few months and let ya know early, K?
Maybe we can go out to dinner or something?
John & Lauren. . . Wow, only a few more months to go until the big W! These will pass really quickly with all the planning and work and school! But enjoy the excitement as you'll look back and wonder how you ever got it all accomplished!
Jared and Betsy. . . Congrats on the new house and title business! Loved the pictures of Chicago. Looked like you guys were in a museum street? Did you have an enjoyable Christmas?
April, Zach and Caden. . . Only a few more months til Tolby Blake makes his debut! It was really nice seeing you! Only wish it could have been longer... Zach hang in there, Lockheed is REALLY slow in decision-making, but when they do things move FAST!
Allison, Jorge, Aiden & Alexander. . . WOW, that snow-fall looked CRAZY and I hope the second one didn't add to much misery! Did you make the boys snow ice cream?
We were in Crosbyton over Christmas and I was complaining about feeling the cold in the 40's. Guess I've turned into a pansy living in South Texas...but you know what?
I'm loving it!
Chad... I hated to hear that you missed your flight to be with Allison. That's a bummer! Let us hear from you on the blog! It doesn't take that much time and I'll bet you can go on-line during lunch or break-time. We thought about you on your Birthday, so if you are reading this, Happy Birthday! I would love to give you a call and talk sometime. . . think about it and let me know if that would be OK.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!
Love,
Tress
