Hi everybody. . . it's Saturday morning and I'm just being a bum! Have had a headcold the past 3 days and it's not much fun but what are you going to do? I've got that office to clean up and the house to clean and Stevie to groom, but for right now. . . I don't want to. LOL

We had a nice get together with the Odom side last weekend celebrating Bill & Bettye's 50th Wedding Anniversary. They plan to take their honeymoon this summer and travel to the Dakotas, up into Canada and over into Washington, Oregon. Sounds like fun to me and after 50 years, its sweet to see them finally take that honeymoon trip.

My kids are doing great! Devin has taken a new after-school job at J & D feedstore where he gets to work with all types (cowboys, ranchers, vets, business-people, animal-lovers of all kinds). Funny too, Mark showed him years ago how to run a back-hoe/loader. I remember this little guy out on the back lot running heavy machinery from around the age of 10! Scared me then, but I knew that he could benefit someday! It had been about 3 years since he'd run one, but he did really well! So for all you other kiddos of all ages, sometimes those little things mom or dad taught do prove helpful! Meredith & Michael are settled in pretty well. They both love their jobs and have made lots of changes around their place already! I'm proud of all 3 of them.

What else is new? Mark's had some fun over the last few weeks, (found he is diabetic- Type 1) but so far the medication is doing its job extremely well. Nothing to do with his diet or anything, just simply genetics passed down from a Great-grandparent. He's really handling it all very well and I'm so proud that he's taken such ownership (learning about the disease-how to control etc. . .) AND HE ISN'T A FANATIC about it either! His doc said that he would do very well because it was found early and hadn't had the chance to cause damage. This one's silent and can really sneak up on a person. Watch out though, he may want to test your blood sugar with his new gadget! Don't worry, doesn't hurt at all.

Love to all and more later. . .

Tress
