Hi everybody! Auntie Gearhead hear, (alias- old put-a-little-proheal on it).

March blew by me like a bad West Texas wind and I thought that April would slow to a simple occasional breeze but no luck yet! I've taken some beautiful bluebonnet, indian paint-brushes, missouri primrose, and poppies from along the highways on my recent trips. Yes, that crazy lady you see with her car parked on the side of the highway standing over next to a field squatted-down in her high heels, ankle-deep in mud isn't trying to take a lady-like tinkle. She's only trying to get some closeup photos of texas wildflowers with her digital camera. Somebody should have been out there taking a picture of me and those silly cows mooing at me over the fence behind me. Could have been something for Jay Leno?

I've got a quick question for John... is it allowable for the boys to come to the family wedding shower? You know my guys come from the old-school and wanted me to be sure about that. Either way, no problem. I'll be sure to wash the mud off my high heels and the grease from under my nails to be presentable, LOL!

I was away from home today working but Mark was telling me about the show. Ellen today. There was a college student who had engineered the perfect machine. He called it a "beerchunker." Uncle Gearhead will need to tell you all about it; 'cause as you know, nobody tells a story better than Uncle Gearhead. I've laughed until I almost cried! I've got to catch a re-run sometime!

Michael & Meredith have adopted a new puppy to go along with their Scarlett. He's a male golden retriever/german shepherd mix named Beau. Quite a cutie and he loves his mimie. Too funny when he takes off at a dead run down the hall on those wood floors and jumps on Meredith like he's a tiny little thing! Wrong he weighs about 35 lbs now and is only 4 months old! No joking though, he is really cute and Scarlett has just about decided that he's a pretty good buddy! She's a wonderful teacher with the potty-training! He goes outside with her and I understand yesterday he went without an accident all day long at home! Not too bad for only having him for about 3 wks.

Devin is on his last 6 wks at school and had his first bout of senior-itis. He's going to prom in a few weeks and between his friends/& dates they're going to rent a limo. Should be fun! I'm proud of him because he's paying for his own tux and the limo and won't let Mom help out. He's working at J & D Country Store after school and weekends and really seems to enjoy it. The manager has already put him in for a raise because he's been a really good employee. They had chicks & bunnies for sale before Easter and one of the bunnies kept hopping out of the horse tank they had inside the store (essentially keeping them contained inside with warming lights, nesting materals, food and water). Devin was really worried about that darn bunny getting out at night, so he put out a little bit of food and water on the outside just in case. Good thing too, because the next day when the store opened, the bunny was hopping all over the store and had enjoyed his dinner and little nest Devin had supplied. He told me a huge funny too and you know sometimes you think you've heard everything but over Easter weekend a lady came in and asked if the Easter bunnies they had for sale there could be RENTED? You could buy a rabbit for $35 each, but she said she'd be happy to rent one for $85.00 for 3 days. Devin took the deal, LOL win-win for both sides. Hmmmmmmm. . . maybe she's not so dumb after all? I happen to remember an Easter bunny that was given to me when I was about 7 years old. I think Mom thought it would die pretty quickly and if you remember, Samantha lived for 5 years!

I promise Blair, the pics will be on the way shortly!

Love to all!
Auntie Gearhead
