Hi ya'll! Congratulations Jared & Betsy on the wonderful news! We're so happy for you both! Good thing you've got that master bedroom upstairs so that you'll be close to the baby's room, huh?
Michael's scope went well on Tuesday, he's about 97% cleared of his ulcers and is SUPPOSED to continue with the bland stuff for another couple of weeks. I don't see that happening as he LOVES his pizza! In fact, his dad took him out right after for pancakes, eggs etc. . . but he didn't have too much trouble afterwards. Meredith & Michael have gone out fishing after work with the puppies in tow and really are enjoying that! Helps keep things light and fun!
Devin's working and hanging out with his friends. Looks like there will be a good number of them going to the same school, at least for the first two years. He split out of here to go have burgers with the guys, last night was bowling, night before jello wrestling. YUP, he's a busy character, LOL! No worries though, and that's a great place to be.
Mark's getting ready to head to Charlotte this week to train a group from Mexico & South America. None of them speak English- so he's got an interpreter that can speak/understand technical language and Spanish. That's hard to find in Charlotte, NC!
I've got work here in Houston first part of week, then Baton Rouge later in the week. So, I'll be be bopping around again this week. Last week had a presentation with UT Dermatology Dept. in the med center and had to cater lunch for 35. Totally weird trying to keep concentration, speak doctor, and watch 'em gorge lunch down in 20 minutes flat! It's actually pretty funny! All sense of propriety and manners goes right out the window! I told Mark that the conference room looked like a storm had blown through. Paper cups, crumpled napkins, chip bags, empty salsa bowls, and not a spec of submarine sandwich anywhere. . . sort of like what a Thanksgiving turkey carcass must feel after the hordes have picked it clean. So goes to show you that you should always schedule a surgery after lunch . . . heaven forbid that you would stand between, right?
Love to all,
Tress
