Good morning family!
It's Sunday morning around 7:33 am and I've read the blog, Blair's pages, weekly wipe, and Betsy's Blog already! Had one cup of coffee and now think I'm coherent enough to make some sense typing :)! Thanks Blair for the mention on your site, I hope to make a go of it and just like any other business, it'll just take time. Nice part is, I won't have the overhead of a bricks and mortar. So if there's something you really need to buy - chances are, I can get it for you! Did you notice my schnauzer logo- a tribute to Heidi!
Boy or girl, we'll know in 4 short days and I'll be waiting to hear! Betsy, you know the people who say dumb things- like you're butt's getting larger, or my favorite from my own pregnancies- Are you having triplets or just fat, LOL! My answer - BOTH! And often times these comments are made by women! Just chalk it up to their ignorance or jealousy, right? Men who makes stupid comments about women's bodies changing during pregnancy are just that, STUPID! Really though, people who make comments about your body changing and the baby growing, for the most-part, are excited for you and marveling at God's precious miracle. For those of us who aren't in the baby-making years any longer, it's another affirmation of God's love for us- giving us just a little bit of insight into how He loves us. So my rambling point is this, when people say dumb things, don't let it hurt your feelings. Simply carry around a mental score card where you can keep count of the number of morons and the number of enlightened :>. At the end of your pregancy add that to your blog, could be a book in the making? How's this for a title, " You could be a Moron," or " Top 1000 Moronic Comments about Pregnancy," or "Social Graces for Dummies," ? Do me a favor though, if I ever fall in the moron category, grab something to stabalize yourself, (remember you're pregnant) and KICK ME IN THE PANTS, deal? Maybe we should come up with a word that we can use when someone is pregnant and we hear YET ANOTHER moron speak - like maybe MAROON! Bugs Bunny always called morons MAROONS? What do you think?
Hey April, Zac, Caden and Toby. . . how are you liking your new home! I read you've moved in and are enjoying your new digs. Cool, huh? Please get on and post some pics! It may be a while before I get to Ft. Worth, so I'd love to see! Did you get your cabinets crackled? Dadgum- I understand you've painted the whole house and I still have 3 rooms to go! I've kinda taken a sabbatical on the paint for a while- I know I want to finish, I know I need to finish, I know it would look better finished, but I also know I don't have the energy to finish,teehee! Seriously, I'm thrilled for you and know you will enjoy decorating it and making it your own!
My granddogs,Stevie and I are sitting out on the back patio drinking coffee and water now enjoying some of the cool! For those of you who don't know it, I've got Scarlet and Beau for Mimi's summer camp! They are really lots of fun. Sargeant Scarlet keeps everyone in line. Beau is such a puppy in a HUGE body. He's part Lab and German Shepherd, weighs in around 50-60 lbs. and thinks he's a lap dog! He literally destroys all toys with his mighty mandibles, hahaha! But when he gives me those eyes and a looks that says, WHUT? Did I do that? it cracks me up? I just had to get his attention- he was eating the leaves off my hybiscus! Stevie only exerts her authority over the vacuum cleaner and the backyard swing. Totally her territory! Scarlet's chasing the woodpecker, he's really in noise-mode this morning on the pine tree. Church bells are ringing and they're driving Scarlet & Stevie nuts! Wouldn't it be funny if they could talk instead of bark their thoughts?
Mark will get home later this morning from Daytona, FL. He had to go train some clients over the weekend. Supposed to be an 6 hour training starting at 7:00 a.m. on Sat. that JUST HAD TO BE DONE OVER THE WEEKEND. . . you know THOSE kind of clients. Well, after all the expense of short notice flights, hotels, etc. . . they kicked off training at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and the owner thanked him for his time and trouble and closed the session at 8:15 a.m. THAT WAS REALLY, REALLY, LIFE OR DEATH? Mark, as you can imagine, was not the happiest camper! Anyway, gave him a little time to do some things like sight-see that he rarely gets to do. He got to go to Daytona Speedway and tour the museum! I asked him if he'd gone to the ocean at Daytona Beach, but that wasn't on his mind. I surely thought he'd want to see where NASCAR truly had its roots, but he'd forgotten about that, I guess. Nahh, he didn't forget, just had limited time and had to choose the most important, right?
Devin's truck was on the fritz last weekend. Mark and Devin spent some long hours but got it running great again! Wow what a wonderful gift to be able to diagnose something and fix it completely. Sure has saved us a mint over our marriage, let me tell you!
Well, that's more than enough for now! I'll bet you're all saying, "Wow does she ever shut up?" And you know the answer - NOPE, LOL!
