Hope everyone has made it back home safe and sound. Jerry and I actually were in Haslett at Diane and Cameron's house for Christmas Day Lunch. We got up early Tuesday morning and traveled. Diane's Mom & Dad & Cory also met us in Haslett. Diane fixed a great Christmas meal! We had Smoked turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, pink thing salad, brussel sprouts, vegetable salad, english peas, corn, gravy, rolls, pecan pie & pumpkin pie. She also has chips and dips etc to nibble on. We got to watch Brock open his Chrismas presents from Santa and other presents from his grandparents. As you know we had our Christmas with the boys on the weekend preceding. We had a great time , but headed back toward Waco around 3:00 pm to get a little rest. John & Lauren returned to our house on Christmas late afternoon and spentt the night before returning to San Antonio the next morning. Lauren had to be back at her work at 1:30pm and of course I had to get up and get to work by 8:00am. It was a whirlwind of a holiday! Jerry and I have pledged to get started on November 1, 2008 so that we can enjoy the holidays a little more next year.

On Christmas morning I called Alli and spoke to her for a short time as her children were openning their Santa Claus as I called. She said they were doing fine. We vowed to call each other later. I also talked to Bernice and Bennie and Wynn Nona and Gene. Bennie let me know that they had a birthday party for Bernice on his birthday with all theone out in west Texas. She said that she and Bernice were not going to have Christmas until January 9 with Patti due to Bobby having knee surgery the day after Christmas. She said that Bobby wanted to be able to lift the grandkids. Bennie said that she and Bernice were going to her brother's house for Christmas Day. She said that during the birthday get-to-gether they were all talking about wanting to get with we girls for a family gathering.
