Good morning Griffin Clan! I hope everyone had a good holidays. I'm back at work after only having yesterday off for New Years, so now I feel like it's Monday again. I've never understood why they don't just give us Monday AND Tuesday off. I thought I would post a blog before I got started with my morning routine here at work.
We had a pretty uneventful Christmas and New Years (Sometimes that's good). Aidan really got into Santa this year. I hadn't wrapped a single present until Christmas eve after the boys went to sleep cause we just got 2 new puppies (Chihuahuas to say the least) so I didn't want them tearing open the presents. You should have seen Aidan when he walked downstairs christmas morning! "MOMMY.........WHAT THA? (yes he seriously said that without the expletive) SANTA CAME, SANTA CAME!!!!" So after the shock passed of what he said ( he learned that at daycare I found out) we all went downstairs and had pancakes and then opened gifts. Alex is really into Hotwheels, so we got him a bunch of them along with this big 18 wheeler to store them all in. Now I regret that decision because I've stepped on more hot wheels than I ever had in my life. The 18 wheeler that we bought for him to store them in, is well, in the toy box with the plastic doors already pulled off. Why did God program BOYS to be so DESTRUCTIVE?!?!?! It's like a challenge to them so see if they can tear something apart. And I've tried to be creative and make a "PARKING SPOT" for all their cars so they can be sure to put them away, but NO!!! I find a piece here and then a piece there and then somehow they all end up in my room under my bed. Now is the time I want to say, "WHAT THA?!?!?!?" But it was fun none the less. It snowed ALL day long and we ended up with around 10 inches of snow. So I had a little cabin fever after being inside all day. But I made it to work the next day and daddy got to stay home with the boys since their daycare was closed all week and didn't open til today.
New Years was uneventful as well. I made chocolate chip cookies and watched movies. Jorge and I were in bed by 12:15. How sad!!!! But I thought to myself, I'm going to start the New year off right. I want to feel good instead of hungover all day. And I was right......all day I felt great and even did some extra time on my workout. Even took down all the christmas decorations. Kind of sad though cause I liked sitting in the living room with only the chirstmas lights on. So hopefully this starts 2008 off right.
I couldn't tell you how Chad is doing since I haven't talked to him in about a month. His phone got disconnected for some reason and hasn't tried to contact me except for one email to tell me his phone doesn't work. He did get a job about a month and a half ago with a trade show house. Supposedly that's what they are called. He says it's exactly what he wants to be doing so I'm happy for him. But that's all I know in regards to my brother. Wasn't even able to wish him Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas and hopefully his gifts got to him.
Blair, this weekend I am going to get some pictures printed so I can send them to you. We took a lot over the holidays so I wanted to wait and send those to you. Also, I'm so sorry to hear about JW. He always put a smile on your face that's for sure. So I'm sending a cyber hug to the Gowen's gang for their loss.
