Good morning! I am so sorry that I missed birthdays! Happy belated birthday to all!!
I have had a very rough week since Wednesday at work! On Wednesday I learned from the therapy company that my facility has contracted that the physical therapy assistant that has been working at the facility let her license lapse. She has been practicing without a renewed license since January. This effects us in that we have billed Medicare and Medicaid for services that she has provided. In talking with Medicare we are going to have to do 33 MDS's (an assessment tool) over. We are not in any trouble, but what a mess! That means that we will have a great loss in revenue! I therapy company has admitted that it is their fault for not securing a renewed copy of the lady's license. We will be billing the therapy for all of our losses which includes the reimbursement that has been paid to the therapy company for PT, the difference in the amount that Medicare would have paid us for the services given to our patients, our time, etc. It will take a lot of time, energy, and frustration on our part! I am so angry with the lady I could shake her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So far the therapy company continues to take responsibility. If they don't I am sure that my owners will secure a lawyer. What a mess!
What further makes me angry is that I have been going by and picking this woman up to take her to and from work for over a month. She claimed that she had wrecked her fairly new used vehicle and that the person totaling her car was uninsured. I was at the point of getting a little tired of her bumming, when all of this happened! She had not been at work Monday or Tuesday of this last work and had called me each morning and had stated that her friend was taking her to get a car. On Monday morning she called and stated that she did not need a ride that she had gotten a car. At 8am she called work and tod me that her car wouldn't start and she would have to get the man from whom she had purchased the car to check the car and boost her or something. I have never heard from her since. I quess she received her certified letter from her employer that I understand was sent to her terminating her employment. What a MESS!
In addition to this I had to call and inform my owners of the problem while they were on vacation!!!! They did not respond too well as you would expect.
On a lighter note Jerry and I will be going to Shreveport tomorrow morning with 3 other couples of Jerry's golfing buddies. The men are going to play golf on Monday morning and we women will be seeing the casino or just sleeping in. You know me, I am not going to loose a lot money, so my time spent gambling will probably be short. It is however, time to get away! We will be retruning on Monday evening sometime. I have planned on taking off Tuesday just to rest, but may not get to take off if something develops that I have to return to work related to the above mess.
Cameron is down working at the nursing home and providing RN coverage this weekend. He will also be working teaching nurse aide classes on Monday and Tuesday. Therefore, he is our babysitter for Townsend the Pug.
Jerry has had a cold this week on top of everything else. Thank goodness that he is feeling better. Last night we went out to eat with the couple that we will be riding to Lousiana with. We ate at Cheddar's and then they came to our house and we played Spades until around 10:30pm. Kinda helped get mind in a more relaxed mode!
Hope all family members are well and illnesses have deceased! I know that I continue to delay the family get-together. I would like for everyone to be able to come.John will be starting his hardest rotation just after Easter! It will require that he put in some long, long days and be on call one day a week at a hospital. Therefore, they will only be able to come to our house next weekend and then will be unable to go anywhere until after John's graduation on Friday,May 16th. All family members are invited to see Doctor Watson graduate. I have heard that the graduation is something to see! I know that Friday will impossible for most of you to attend due to work, but John wants to invite everyone anyway. All of this is to say that I need imput! Would the end part of May or do we want to have a get-to-gether that most people can attend? PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR HONEST OPINION!!!!
I am not forgetting that we are to be at Eletia's and Mike's house for a weekend on the 29th.
Brandon was able to come down this last weekend and spend the weekend with us. I sure did enjoy his visit since it had been Chrismas since he had visited. He continues to do well in his work and is enjoying his promotion. We enjoyed just talking and playing with Brock as Cameron is working most weekends right now for the nursing facility since our other weekend coverage has got to have both of her knees operated on.
Diane's surgery to make repairs to her by-pass surgery whic was done before Brock was born was delayed due to her having to have more tests done to be sure that she was not haveing some heart problems. It is my underestanding that it has been rescheduled for the 31.
Lauren and John are looking at options for locating after John's graduation. John has had offers with several company's and in various locations including the Dallas/Ft.Worth and Waco areas. Lauren does not want to work in a hospital setting as a dietitian, so part of their decision will be based on job availability for her. A few weeks ago Lauren's grandfather in the San Antonio area, her Daddy's father, passed away with cancer that he had been fighting for a long time. The Crawford family had planned on being at his house on Easter, but since his passing the plans were cancelled. Therefore that allows John and Lauren to come to our house Easter.
Blair, I got a little lesson form Brandon and he has downloaded some pictures for me from my camera. I will try to send you some of them for the blogg as i figure it out! By the way my original e-mail addres doesn't seem to be working, so we set up another address:

I have lots to get done today before the short trip. I have got to do a little shopping to get some make-up items and buy a shower gift and deliver for a shower that I am going to miss tomorrow.
Packing etc. is also on the list.
