Hi Family,

It' s been a crazy,wild week here too! Back to work and catch up time, but you know, I'm trying so hard to do what I promised you all - I've added just time to chill each day. As you can see from the bluebonnet pictures, I actually took time today to shoot some of the beauty Springtime in East Texas affords, exercised, AND TOOK A NAP! LOL! Now that I have my own camera, I can take more pictures and sure hope you all will enjoy them too! I took all 4 of these pics within 5 miles of my house, can you believe the diversity of Texas? Blair may get sick of seeing new ones in his inbox, huh?

We know that this week has been tough on all our Gowens family and hope you know that we are always here for you. I am soooooo glad that we had the weekend before Mike passed together to enjoy each other and to crack each other up. . . Mike had such a quick sharp wit that we will definitely miss. He's with us always , not only our hearts, but in the twinkle of Caden's, Toby's, and Kate's eyes. When you are ready, I'll be happy to help work on the cookbook. I think Mike liked the idea of "Cooking with Caden and Pops". You know the sausage ballgames definitely should be recipe number 1.
