Things have been pretty busy the last few days, but nothing truly unusual to report.
Mother's Day for me was quiet time to reflect and relax. Had coffee and breakfast of the back porch in my PJ's listening to the fountain tinkle and the birds sing. When I finished breakfast, I lounged in the hammock Devin gave me last Mother's Day watching a blue jay chirp from the branch above me. He wasn't the least bit afraid. . . just cocked his head to the side and sang to me a private concert. The hummingbirds buzzed around busily feeding on my magnolia bushes and yellowbells. Stevie and Callie decided they wanted to jump up in the hammock with me as we watched a squirrel chatter angrily at us. He kept flicking his tail almost as if to say, "Come on you lazy people. . . chase me!" With the breeze gently swaying my hammock, bees humming, and cuddly puppies in place, I could have spent all day right in that hammock! Before I knew it, I'd spent 2 hours just lazily enjoying myself.
Hope your Mother's Day was equally enjoyable!
Love,
Tress
