Thought I'd blog in holiday Christmas green to get into the season. . .
Wow it's been a wild, wild week for us. As many of you are going through the planning stages at work for 2009, let me just share some fun that's been going on with Mark & I.
Mark's been in North Carolina meeting some new additional bosses, reading job additions, planning & building new training classes, and in-general, mind-dumping. I like his discription when he got home last night, "I feel as if I've been brain-ambushed!" Yes, that's a very good description! And as only Mark can do, he gets to the heart of the matter with even the highest executives. At least now they have a good understanding of what happens in the field and why it's not a wonderful idea to send people to places like Columbia without interpreters and bodyguards. I think that addition will make me feel much more comfortable when he leaves the country and at least keep the team from having to enter countries that don't like American's much, huh?
I've been working on all that stuff too, but with the added fun of having my computer crash, LOL! Briefly here's how it went. . . . a). computer crash Monday, darn it!, b). company sent out a replacement to continue planning Tues. c). Tues. replacement crashed,. . . OK I didn't say darn it!, d). Commandeered Devin's laptop to do as much as possible- thank goodness had access to Company email remotely. e). worked with IT dept. for HOURS!, f). supposed to have my original back on Monday, email from IT on Friday saying- Oops, we're just going to need to redo everything and could get it back mid-week, SIGH. And did I tell you that I'm trying to read all this little tiny print on Exel without eye correction? Too blurry. . . and even with some cheater-glasses and lots of squinting, I finally completed all 40 pages of details. Good news though, contacts arrived late Thursday, so Friday I could see! YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Amazing how tired your brain gets when you just can't see properly. I'd say that my eyesight is all about age, but I'd be lying - my vision has been less than stellar forever, LOL! But you would all be happy to know that I didn't do my typical stress-related comfort things: 1). cuss and or 2). nibble, nibble, nibble.
So what are are you all doing this weekend? I've got the tree to put up and a few personal & work relateds to do, but nothing major. I know that this is the big weekend for Sheron & Jerry to attend the holiday event with Lauren & John. ENJOY! Sounds like fun.
OK, gotta go for now,
Love all of you
