Thought you guys would find this kinda funny as a follow-up to my Sat. blog. .
Did the grocery demonstration yesterday for Progresso soups which was fun. Gave me a chance to people watch and cook soup all day. . . ( asked to demonstrate the company's new line of international soups- Menudo, Pozole, & a Caldo de Pollo style, and they wanted me to demonstrate only the Menudo.
What was truly funny is the people that don't think they like Menudo- buying 3-6 cans apiece... I had 3 really sweet ladies that took the challenge to be honest with me and tell me how it compared to their own homemade. All 3 said it tasted very close to their own recipe. . . now here's the funny part; they each made me promise never to tell their husbands that they were going to be using the canned versions to save themselves time! Now of course when the sons call home and ask momma to make her homemade soup- they said they would probably do it, but use Progresso for the starter, LOL! Gotta love us women!
I only did it from 11a.m to 5p.m. and sold the stock out on a hot day.
Oh well, demoing to doctors & hospitals or grocery shoppers. . . not much difference really! LOL! It was the store's first time to do the demo-thing and the checkers came over to check this this out- one said she couldn't imagine why everybody suddenly had a hankering for menudo. (I noticed when she left work she snagged 4 cans, Ha!)
So after that Mark and I ran to have some Chinese food before I went in for my sleep study. That was interesting- go to bed at 9 a.m? Seriously,Really, Tressie go to bed at 9 a.m? OK, I got all hooked up to wired and electrodes (I felt like I had electrical dread-locks) and get all nestled down in this FABULOUS bed. (truly wish I could have that bed in every hotel room I check into). Drop off to sleep, and an electrode pops off- Nurse comes in wakes me up and reconnects, drop off to sleep- electrode pops off - Nurse comes in wakes me up and reconnects- and I remember a third time when my c-pap popped off- nurse wakes me up to tape it on my face. Then it was over and wake me up 5 a.m. to get unplugged and check out. Drive home in jammies to jump back in bed and sleep for another couple of hours. We'll just see what the test says- (Yeah her inner child just never sleeps!)
I've got a couple of reports to do for work so gotta run for now. Later today, I've got 2 dogs to groom- anyone want to join me? Should be rip-roaring fun!
