Hey everyone.....hope this finds you all well. Sorry it's been awhile since I have blogged. Blair I'm unsure right now if Manny and I will get to head down there. We are trying to fly since it would be a short trip, but I don't have anyone to watch the boys. Their dad has been out of state for the last 2 months and I don't know if he is even coming back to Colorado. So I don't know if he would be an option. Manny REALLY wants to be a part of it. We will keep you informed. I looked up tickets today for southwest and it would only be about $200 to fly. We'll see.
Things are good here. Aidan and Alex had their birthdays on the 18th and 20th. We were holed up here in the house because it snowed crazily that day. So this past weekend I let Aidan invite a friend over to stay the night. I took all three to see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D at the Imax. It was so awesome, but the high ticket price almost gave me a heart attack. I had never seen a movie in 3D. It definitely will be the future of movies. This past Saturday the boys (Manny included :P) headed down to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. That was a spur of the moment thing. We were taking a little day road trip and just decided to turn off of the interstate and check it out. The chapel was so beautiful. There really wasn't much we could do cause it was quite windy and very cold. We then headed to Manitou Springs and then on to Garden of the Gods. It's an awesome outdoor rock formation/trail walking/rock climbing/pretty much anything you want to do outside type of place. We walked for a little bit, but my foot started to hurt. We will definitely be heading back when I get better. And it was all free!!!!! We then drove a nice scenic road through the mountains. We passed an area that had been devastated by the worst fire in Colorado's history which I think happened in 2002? It was so sad. Miles and Miles of burnt forest. Aidan asked many questions about it. It ended up being a good learning tool for him. So all in all, we had a good time.
I talked to Chad about a week ago. He's going good. They are working on an exhibit for Sony. He said it's the largest one they have ever done. I think he said the total price is 3.5 million dollars. So he is really under the pressure to come up with some awesome art/graphic designs for the exhibit.
I went to the Dr on Monday and I now don't have to use my boot. I can wear 2 normal shoes now. I have an ankle brace that I have to use for the next 5 weeks or so. I got cleared to start working out, obviously no running, pounding, twisting etc. I'm just happy to regain my independence :P
Well that's about all from up here. I love you all and hope to see you soon. Take care
Love,
Alli
