Hi all!
I'm sitting outside enjoying the early morning after watering my flowers. Cup of coffee in hand, I've already searched the internet for new flower types for my garden that may help replace all the ones lost from last year's hurricane. But the hardier types are still growing strong. . . banana trees, geraniums, oleanders, hybiscus, gardenia bushes, yellow bells, ferns petunias and such. Funny, how I noticed that the pink and red combinations are the ones that survived the best, weird? Devin planted in pots about a month ago, tomato, peppers and dill. . . can't wait for those to produce. While my weekend will really be short since I've got to go to North Carolina tomorrow and a couple of reports due today, I'm still going to go to a garden center for a dose of peace. I absolutely LOVE to just .. . good grief Callie. . . (she just jumped in my lap with muddy paws to love on mommy and now my white sleep t-shirt is a muddy mess, SIGH). OK, on with my thought. . . I just LOVE gardening for the way it makes my mind relax! Nothing like getting my hands into the dirt and smelling the rewards when my flowers bloom. I think I'm going to add some hydragea this year. . . could be very pretty.
Anyway, before hitting the garden spots, MUST find some comfortable shoes that are OK for work. Was in McAllen last couple of days(Weird that even though it was at the tip of Texas, the hot blasting winds - over 40 mph for the entire time I was there- reminded me West Texas-) and even with the sensible t-strap 3 inch heels, my feet feel as if they've been through Chinese torture! Really think hospital floors are designed for pain, HA! Depends on who I'm seeing as to how I've got to dress- Would love to wear scrubs and tennis shoes every single day! But those are reserved for clinical days only in OR or on the floors. Administrative days require the business regalia, BUT MAN, those floors aren't designed for it. Not to mention having to walk MILES to get anywhere in a hospital. But perhaps, those miles will be good for my health? TELL THAT TO MY FEET! They're puffed up like balloons today. Oh well, drinking lots of water should help.
Happy Mother's Day to Sheron, Eletia, Allison, April, & Betsy!
Love,
Tress
