Gosh E...sorry to hear you're under the weather with stomach bug. Those aren't fun anytime! Sounds like you're doing the right stuff though, rest, rest, rest. Maybe today you will feel better, I hope!

It's been a really busy month for us with travel and work s_ it. . . I'm just trying to recover some energy this weekend too! Was in Louisiana last week, and after doing my reports, I think I understand why I'm so exhausted, (12 hospitals- 3-5 dept. each one, educational visits, in-services at all) Wah,wah, wah. . . stop the griping right, it's a job!) Just kinda tiring when each one demands so much- draining actually. Drove home late Thursday (6 1/2 hours) did some reports, got up early Friday, to be in Cypress for more of the same. But the good news is. . . I finished 5 reports, sent off 9 Evaluation packages for the Army/Air Force Group and actually had some dinner before Mark's plane got in from Idaho around 11 p.m!

I'm taking this week for vacation- but still having to be on conference call Monday morning. . . that's just wrong! But after that, I'm planning on going underground for a few days to just VEG!
Devin's birthday is tomorrow and he's going to be the big 21! We're taking him to dinner and getting his bd present today/tonight. Then I've got to bake his cake/or pie. . . he's working tomorrow at his internship anyway, but we wanted to try to make things at least a little special. All our plans got shot for other travel plans for his birthday, but he's such a great young man. . . very understanding of all things economy-related. But you know, that's a good thing in preparation for life, right?

Devin is moving into his own apartment over in College Station on August 1st. . . then Mark, Dev and I are taking some time during the 2nd week to go visit Bill & Bettye. Haven't been able to coordinate schedules to go see them for over a year, so we've just backed our ears and are doing it, COME HELL OR HIGH WATER! It will be nice to get to see them again for a few days. . . Grandad, Dad, and Grandson could use some fishing time. . . and Mom Bets and I could use some chill-time together. We always have a good time together. Bettye has had laparascopic knee surgery, so I may take her to see some movies or something if she's up to it. You know, the kind of girly movies that the guys never want to go see. We'll miss having Meredith with us, as the 3 of us can get into some TROUBLE together, HA! Unless, we can talk her into taking some time to join us?

Meredith is doing well at Lockheed . . . with her program ending (Obama- strikes again), there was some concern with where she would be placed and how soon the effects would happen. Good news is she received notice that she would be with the program for a few more years and then due to the quality of her work moved to another position with a level G3. So, again, even though things sometimes appear troublesome, there are silver linings!

Guess I've written a book again. . . sorry about that. . . so until next chapter of "As the Odom World Turns?"

Love,
Tress
